Sonita is a talent development and change strategist with over 15 years of experience across private, nonprofit and public spaces. As the Founder and Principal Consultant of Red Eagle Consulting, she’s known for her ability to bring stakeholders together, simplify complex challenges, and balance strategy with execution. Her approach combines a business mindset with a deep understanding of how people, institutions, and systems interact.
Sonita is driven by the belief that strong systems can open doors and transform lives. With a foundation in organizational strategy, her workforce development journey began as a member of the business community who was pulled into public policy. There, she experienced how blending sound practices, industry collaboration, and human-centered approaches in public systems could create collective good - lifting individuals, strengthening organizations, and improving communities.
A Wisconsinite who has called Washington D.C. home for years, she enjoys embracing her wanderlust, telling herself this will be the year she learns how to knit, and diving into every day with her husband and young sons. One of her greatest joys at this point in life is re-exploring the world through their preschool eyes.
Sonita earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in International Business and Marketing from Howard University, is a Project Management Professional (PMP), and certified emotional intelligence and change management facilitator.
